Aikido is the peaceful martial art from Japan. The energy of an attacker is redirected using flowing and elegant movements. There are no competitions in aikido. It is practiced by women and men, young and old. Aikido helps staying calm and centred under pressure.
 

Lower kyu exams

A record number of 11 students in one go have passed their lower kyu exams: Jamie, Johan, Kalle, Pjotr, Sylvana and Tom B. were awarded 6th kyu, Alwin and Shoreh 5th kyu and Anthony, Bart and Reno 4th kyu. Well done, and congratulations to all of them!

Etiquette

  • When entering or leaving the dojo, it is proper to bow in the direction of Ōsensei's picture, the kamiza, or the front of the dojo. You should also bow when entering or leaving the mat.
